Green Light People

This poem is a call out to all my green light people
to all my soldiers of the moment
to all those souls who know when the time comes for action
because luck and chance spin like the wheels of revolution
but the winds of change…..
blow on through our determination to manifest our dreams

So let us dream big… like grandma’s knit sweaters
casting sleeves from reality
and always leaving room for ourselves to grow into them

because it seems to me
that in this world full of red lights and stop signs
our minds exist solely to remind ourselves of our origins
we are but energy flowing from the divine spark of creation
so in every instant
we are reborn into this constant state of transformation

and on the canvas that is stretched across the entirety of the universe
we impress ourselves upon its surface
we leave images of truth and horror
love and beauty
because when push comes to shove
the only gifts we truly have to give
are those impressions made by the lives we’ve lived

so be not afraid nor shy
and do not shy away from this responsibility
know that our acts of creation
are what connect us to our own divinity

and this poem…
This poem is really a thank you
to those who cast green lights on my path
to those who share burden of our futures
and illuminate the value of our past…Right Now
to those who speak
to the spark they see
in my eyes
and hold me accountable
because i know that i can climb mountains
which may seem insurmountable
the truth is…

sometimes im scared shitless…
its like doubt wrote my name on the top of its shit-list..
casting red and yellow rays my way
and all i can do to say
“I am stronger today than yesterday, not as strong as tomorrow”
“I am stronger today than yesterday, not as strong as tomorrow”
because i know that the battles of my past
have prepared me for my future
and with this thought secured in my mind i secure myself in this moment
I own it
like i owe it to myself to try

that on the day that i die
i may look to my scars as proof of the battles ive survived
and know that these battles will always remain alive
in you
